Frog Graham Round

Frog Graham Round

Frog Graham Round poster (female). An epic swimming and running challenge in in the North Western Lake District. Running for 40 miles and swimming 4 Lakes. I was commissioned by a triathlete to design a poster to celebrate his achievement. It was later adopted by the FGR club. I designed a male and female version of the same poster.

Devil’s bridge

By | Article | No Comments

I designed five doors for two refurbished toilet blocks in Kirkby Lonsdale after entering a local competition. They are based at the magnificent Devil’s Bridge with two more in the centre of the town. The brief was to use local history and local landmarks to promote the region. I entered as really wanted to see my designs printed at a larger scale than the posters I normally sell. Being vector designs they can scale to almost any size. They really brighten up these neglected facilities and are only 20p ago!

Summer boots – Scarpa R-EVO GTX Men

Summer boots (R-EVO GTX Mens)

This Summer/Autumn I’ve had a pair of probably the best light boots I’ve ever owned, Scarpa R-EVO GTX. Also probably the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned its akin to wearing a pare of slippers on the fells!!

Plus points
– Ultra light (suede upper)
– Cool on the feet, I only ever use one light pair of socks with them.
– Elastic tongue and sock fit construction which means not much if any chafing.
– Solid grips, I’ve only slipped over a handful of times!  Most boots now have composite soles which can be too hard and offer a terrible grip I’ve found. Scarpa collaborated with Vibram for these.

Negative
– This is definitely a summer boot, they can’t handle heavy wet conditions even though they are Gortex lined.
