Devil’s bridge

I designed five doors for two refurbished toilet blocks in Kirkby Lonsdale after entering a local competition. They are based at the magnificent Devil’s Bridge with two more in the centre of the town. The brief was to use local history and local landmarks to promote the region. I entered as really wanted to see my designs printed at a larger scale than the posters I normally sell. Being vector designs they can scale to almost any size. They really brighten up these neglected facilities and are only 20p ago!

Case study of some start up pitfalls

Interesting case study courtesy of Smashing Magazine of some the problems facing the start up company Getwear which use to make custom Jeans and how social media doesn’t always help everyone. As someone dipping my big toe in the water with trying to promote myself via social media it’s interesting to read that even the bigger companies struggle to get engagement sometimes. #cumbriahour @LakesEmma @TheDesignTrust
